As we have said in the past, there is a hardcore group of gadget loving geeks who just plum need waterproof equipment! While the truly hardcore - and uber-rich - go for a full on specialized waterproof setup that is capable of withstanding tens of meters under water, most people can get by with something good for ten feet or so of water protection (or in other words, its good for about one lung full of air worth of depth while snorkeling on vacation).
